Hands on and visuals are essential to engage students with disabilities, for this reason, my students will benefit from these materials in order to learn important skills such as phonics, decoding, counting, forming words amongst other skills. The students in my classroom are all from low income households so many of them do not with the resources at home to provide support. For these reasons, it is important for the students to get the most out of their days in schools and allow them to be exposed to as many skills as needed and materials are key to keep lessons engaging and fun for all.
