  • Books And Incentives For My Elementary School Library

    Your donation has made such a great impact on the students of Howard E. Heckethorn Elementary School in Las Vegas, Nevada. We were able to fill more of our book collection in order to put more books in the hands of our students. We replaced old worn out copies of some of the children's favorite books, and introduced new books that they were so excited to check out.

    Also, your generous donations went to stocking the incentives we have in our library behavior box. The students are motivated more than ever to demonstrate good behavior skills so they can enjoy the new incentives. A big thank you goes out from all the students at HES!”

  • Books for Our School Library

    The students at my elementary school would like to thank Donor's Choose for the gift of new books for our school's library. We were able to recieve over 50 new books. Our top favorites are Stick Dog and Stick Cat by Tom Watson, Dogman and Captain Underpants by Dav Pilkey, and Elephant and Piggie books by Mo Willems. The students love the new books, and most are always checked out every day. They love the opportunity to read and are so excited to read all our new books. These books will help replenish the books our school library lost due to Covid 19, and distance learning. The books range in ability from Kindergarten all the way to 5th grade. The books will help teach all the Nevada Academic Content Standards in Literacy for K-5 in each classroom. Students will have a variety of new books to check out, and replacements for books that were lost. Our students love the library and love reading. These books will help all the students fulfill that love for literacy. I know that with the addition of these new books, we will see many happy, smiling faces, with a book in each child's hand.

About my class
