Light up the Frozen Stage!
Funded Jan 31, 2025Your generousity will benefit a need to improve our stage performance of Disney's Frozen. Students have been rehearsing for months and the final production will be enhanced even more because of this additional spotlight. More Building With LEGOS!
Funded May 12, 2024Thank you so much for your generous donation. Students at Elaine Wynn ES primarily come from lower income households and many do not have the means to purchase expensive LEGO sets such as the Discovery Space Shuttle and Concorde. When they saw how large the box was and how many pieces the set contained, many were certain we would never be able to complete the mission.
Fortunately, because of your donation, many students in our school were given the opportunity to build with a rather expensive toy that would otherwise be out of reach. Students worked collaboratively to follow the building instructions and when they would successfully complete different steps, their excitement was energizing and reaffirmed the need to provide opportunities such as these.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Young Sheldon on CBS and 2 other donors.Make Our Underwater World a Colorful Coral Delight!
Funded Dec 31, 2023Thank you so much for your generousity to fund our project. The students and staff involved with the Disney Musical, Finding Nemo, were beyond excited to have the different color pool noodles to shape, cut and design to look like coral under the ocean. The final products are something we were very proud to display on our stage.
The different colors of the pool noodles helped students get creative with how to display and where to use them during our production. Once students had an opportunity to create with the pool noodles, they made sure to respect them during rehearsals, ensuring they were able to stay intact until our final performances.
Your donation made a difference on our stage and we cannot thank you enough!”

Legos Help Us Create!
Funded Dec 20, 2023Your thoughtful donation has helped the creative students at Wynn ES explore how LEGOs contribute to building relationships through collaboration and perseverance. When students were given the opportunity to join an after school LEGO club, many thrived in the small group atmosphere, excited about the challenge of creating something following step-by-step instructions.
Since our school mascot is 'space' related, I was really excited to share with students the large LEGO set that featured the shuttle Discovery with a stand and nameplate. The excitement was energetic, electric and inspiring throughout club days. Thank you for making this dream a reality for me and my students. We look forward to continuing the after school club next year.”

Learning STEM with LEGOs
Funded Aug 25, 2023Thank you so much for your generous donation to our LEGO Stem project. After receiving the LEGO people and kits, they were introduced to the students at Elaine Wynn ES. Many of the students had never had experience with LEGO blocks or people. The smiles and excitement coming from each group was contagious and the conversations almost all included the words, "This is fun!"
One Kindergarten class was so enthralled with the LEGO people and recreating the scenes on the cards. The role play and cooperative learning made many different teaching moments possible throughout the lesson. Many of the upper grades were able to build LEGO creations following step-by-step instructions and working together in small groups.
At the conclusion of each lesson involving these new LEGO kits, I asked students if they enjoyed using these resources and the overwhelming response was YES!! These engaging resources have energized the students and made them excited about STEM lessons for the future. Once again, thank you for making these teaching moments happen with your generosity.”
