My students are English Language Learners and reading can be stressful as they are still learning the language. I want to create a reading nook for my students where they can feel comfortable picking up a book and reading independently. We spend a lot of time working on our English skills and reading is a big component. I have started to develop a library of high interest books and would like to add a reading area to compliment it. Some students have taken a big interest in reading and I believe a comfortable reading area will motivate them more.
