The materials I am requesting for my students will allow us to introduce computer science utilizing robots for steam lessons. Every week my third thru fifth grade students work on projects in our maker space class. The Sphero BOLT robots will provides the foundation to allow the students to do STEAM-based education that encourages exploration, imagination, and perseverance through computer science. It will provide a framework that enables the students to problem solve, think critically, explore thru creativity, make connections and apply them. It is a self-actuated learning that supports students with different disabilities and learning styles. Students will develop the mindsets that are necessary to compete in a global, technology-rich 21st century economy.
