A BLAST-off Learning Experience
Funded Jan 18, 2024I can not thank you enough for the generous donation you made towards 'A BLAST-off Learning Experience'! The students in my class greatly enjoyed the first time we used the Rocket Blaster and the experiment that went with it! Students are already asking when we can conduct another experiment using the Rocket Blaster!
Before we blasted our rockets down the hallway, we had many steps to take. First, we reviewed what materials are made of. In this case, our rockets were made of straws, clay, and index card. Then we discussed what might make a rocket blast far, and what might slow it down. Students came up with many different variables, such as the length of the straw or the shape of the rocket's fins. In groups, students made different rockets related to one variable. Then we went out in the hall and blasted our rockets! The kids LOVED seeing which rockets went furthest! We then examined the data and students were challenged to create the perfect rocket!
We can't thank you enough for helping to make this experiment a reality. The students in my class had such a wonderful learning experience and they are already asking to do it again! Thank you!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Kris
