One issue I have noticed with our elementary students during these COVID times, is the reluctance to collaborate, problem solve, and stretch their own thinking. Research shows how important it is to prepare students for embracing the challenges of the future; while also acknowledging and addressing the current challenges of daily life. These STEM tools would not only help us promote growth in collaboration and real world problem solving this school year, but these tools would be able to be used year after year to reinforce these skills. We can use our classroom space much more effectively if we have materials that fit our space and are engaging to utilize.
