This classroom project was brought to life by Nevada Department of Education.

Pencils are in high demand, especially for mathematics. I encourage students to use pencils versus ink pens during math and it would be nice to have a surplus of pencils that I can distribute to my students who are ill prepared. Led pencils are a luxury for my students and I have found them to be great positive reinforcement as they encourage students to want to write more and be more productive. Most of these items are basic necessities that many of my students do not have the privilege of owning or the luxury of purchasing. Whiteboards are used on a daily basis and creates a nice visual for mathematics, kids enjoy being able to produce problems working along side the teacher. Headphones will be beneficial those students who use text to speech and auditory learners as well! As many of my students need assistance with functional skills; agendas will encourage them to be accountable for their academics.
