These resources will promote Nevada Academic Content Standards MS-LS1-4, MS-ESS3-4, and MS-LS1-3. For MS-LS1-4, these resources will help explain why animals affect the probability of animal reproduction. For MS-ESS3-4, these resources will help the students see the affects that humans have on animals. Lastly and mostly for MS-LS1-4, the resources will help the students understand how the body, human or animal, is a system of interacting subsystems. We can also compare the cells of the frogs to cells of humans. It will also help the students understand that cells form tissues, tissues form organs, and organs form systems.
By donating to my project, you won't only be helping the students in my classroom, but you will also be helping the students learning virtually. For the children in my classroom, they can get a hands-on experience with the Frog Dissection Bio Kits and Frog Dissection Mats. I can also use these kits to record myself dissecting a frog for the children learning virtually to watch, or for students that would rather not dissect a frog themselves. The Frog Dissection Bio-Kits also come with books and dissection steps that can be used over and over. The Frog Dissection Mats with instructions can also be used repeatedly. The 3-D dissection paper kits can be used online for the children learning virtually and for the children in my classroom. This kit is not just for a dissection simulation of a frog, but 15 different animals. The laminator and card stock would be great additions to make the 3D dissection animals last a lot longer and be re-used for students in the upcoming years.
