  • "Ear" us learn at our own pace!

    Funded Jan 9, 2025

Thank you so much for your generous gift! Our students are so grateful to be able to finally learn independently without distractions. They have been working hard to navigate computers and without headphones it has been so difficult for them. I can’t wait to share the good news and send pictures!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Childs

  • “Reading Lights a Fire Every Syllable Is a spark."

    Funded Mar 19, 2024

We want to thank you so much for your generosity. I can't begin to tell you what it means to our students. They are sweet, hard-working, highly intelligent kids who have a genuine passion to learn. When they come to school they often don't have the means to buy the basic supplies. Not only will these tools be used for phonics

In 1st grade students are developing fine motor skills and we forget how important scissors, glue sticks and markers are for early development.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Childs

This classroom project was brought to life by Kleenex and one other donor.
  • We Are the Innovators of the Future!

    Funded Feb 4, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donations!! It was like Christmas morning when the students received the crayons and kinetic sand. We have many students that have sensory needs and the Kenetic sand has allowed our students to keep their hands busy while focusing on lessons. We also explored how kenetic sand works and they have been so curious about the world around.

The students have used the crayons to competed many creative projects and we couldn't be happier! We were able to create individual baggies of crayons that each student can call their own.

    Love,

    Class 1-103”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Childs

My 1st students come from such diverse backgrounds. PS82Q is a predominately Hispanic and Bengali community. For many students English is their second language. In our classroom the books provided are torn and old. To keep up with the learning expectations we need the proper materials. Please help us bridge our learning gaps and give our students the same opportunities many other districts are able to provide.
