Helping my Students Enhancing Curiosity While Being Comfortable
Funded Nov 6, 2023I'm excited to update you on the amazing impact your support has had in our classroom with the purchase of building blocks, STEM kits, magnetic blocks, stacking stools, flashlights, earbuds, and binders.
Our students are actively using these resources for hands-on learning. The building blocks have inspired creative STEM projects, promoting teamwork and critical thinking.
The magnetic blocks have added a playful touch to learning, improving spatial awareness and fine motor skills. Stacking stools provide flexible seating options, creating a dynamic and comfortable space for learning.
The flashlights for reading have made literacy sessions exciting, and the earbuds enhance online learning, minimizing distractions. The binders have helped students stay organized and responsible.
When the students first saw the materials, they were filled with excitement. Your support not only gave them educational tools but also conveyed the importance of their learning.
Looking ahead, we're planning a collaborative project where students will use these resources to create models representing what they've learned. This project will boost understanding and encourage teamwork and creativity.
Thank you for making all this possible. Your support has transformed our classroom into an inspiring and engaging learning space.”
With gratitude,

Funded Nov 10, 2021First and foremost, I and my students want to thank you for funding our project.
The books we received take pride in our small classroom library. We do read them as part of our independent reading or when we read to a peer. The students then have a discussion with each other about the character traits and the settings. This is what we are currently working on in our class. Percy Jackson and the Olympians are a great hit. I always find the kids reading the books when they first come into the class while waiting for the day to start.
We use our vocabulary cards along with our writing boards as a game. I will ask the word, and the students will have to write the meaning on their board. They enjoy this time and have expanded their vocabulary. We do use our writing boards during math time to solve or just answer a question. The most fun they have is when they use the whiteboards to explain to another student how they solved a problem and be the teacher.
We just started to play the Fraction War Math Game and practice our fractions since that is the topic we are learning in math at this time. We started a championship, and the one that wins will get to play with the teacher in the final round. They are all so motivated to learn the fractions and be the winner when they play the game.”
With gratitude,
Ms. L
