Feeding Our Cricut Imaginations
Funded Feb 8, 2023I am truly grateful for your donation to Feeding Our Cricut Imaginations.
The accessories and supplies donated sparked students' creativity as they designed products for sale in their entrepreneurial adventures. We appreciated the donation of the Cricut mug press, heat press, sublimation mugs, engraving tips, infusion ink, transfer tape, carrying case for organization, etc. The donation included a variety of products and tools giving students many options as they pursued their fundraising efforts.
I am excited by the many possibilities available to the students now and in the future. Thanks for your generous donation.”

Funded Feb 8, 2023I am truly grateful for your donation to Cricut to Make It!
The Cricut Maker 3 and the Cricut Easy Press 2 as well as the supplies and accessories have provided my students with opportunities to be creative in our fundraising efforts. Observing the students as they reviewed videos that sparked their imaginations on the types of products they can create was exciting. They have experimented with a few items including shirts, cards, flowers, and even a cap. Students have committed to meeting afterschool to work on their projects.
Thank you for your generous donation. It will serve my students well for years to come.”

Funded Feb 8, 2023I am truly grateful for your donation to Building that Competitive Spirit!
My students take their preparation for competitions in their Career Technical Student Organization, the Future Business Leaders of America, very seriously. They met regularly as they studied and prepared for District and State Competitions.
The gift cards were an excellent incentive as a reward to students who committed to attending sessions regularly. The students were very proud to have represented themselves and their programs. Many of our students won at District competitions.
Thanks to your donation.”

Ice Cream Scoops and Toppings – Entrepreneurship 101!
Funded May 3, 2022Our Ice Cream Scoops and Toppings project was a great success! My students and I thank you for the two Cuisinart ice cream makers as well as all of the supplies donated to make our project such a huge success.
We began with a competition in which the students created their own ice cream flavors complete with toppings, etc. Students used Excel to determine cost of production, consider markup options, and set selling price. It was a fun and real-world application to what they learned in the use of Microsoft Excel. I appreciate my students being provided with opportunities for real hands on learning. They learned that the skills they mastered are used to solve real business challenges. The students understood the importance of making sound financial decisions based on gathering or generating reliable data.
Students were totally engaged. Your donation made the difference to the project's success.”

Funded Jan 26, 2023My deepest gratitude for your donation to this project. We were delighted to receive our two Power XL smokeless grills and all of the supplies necessary for the completion of our project.
This was another opportunity for me to offer a real-world experience to my students while they used their entrepreneurial skills, digital media skills, and were also able to apply the skills they learned in Excel.
I was not able to implement the project as planned in the classroom. However, my Future Business Leaders of America used the equipment and supplies during one of our fundraisers. FBLA is the career technical student organization of the students in my program. As a result, the majority of these students are also in my classroom. So, they did apply the entrepreneurship, digital media, and Excel skills learned in class. While the entire work crew did not sit down and review daily sales, inventory, and planned for our next day of sales, the officers of the club were engaged in this activity and were able to understand the importance of marketing and making sound financial decisions during the process. I was pleased when students made thoughtful decisions such as testing out the equipment before the actual fundraiser dates so that they were able to gauge the cooking time on our food items!
Concepts such , income and expenses, gross and net profit were incorporated. In addition, students calculated a percentage of profit as the cost of doing business when these funds were transferred as required to the principal's general funds. Students then transferred their data to the forms required by our school system and gained a sense of accountability as is required in submitting required financial documents to a school treasurer.
This was our first adventure using our smokeless grills as a fundraiser. Although, I was not able to implement it in the classroom as intended, I consider it a success because I was able to reach quite a few my students in the academy program. I was also able to see my officers assume their leadership responsibility in another environment and observed as they reviewed our financial status with the club members. The grills will be used again next year as originally planned and again in fundraisers. Thank you for this support.”

Making Money Moves
Funded Nov 8, 2021There were a couple ooops, but so much more ahhhs! I know the students will all agree. The project was a huge success! Thank you! We were absolutely pleased to receive our two ice cream machines and two air fryers.
As I continue to plan more hands-on/project-based learning in my class, I am always in awe and so enjoy watching the impact it has on my students. Real-world experiences allow students to see how the skills they have mastered can be used to demonstrate their creative skills and help them solve business challenges.
Students spent the first half of the school year learning the Microsoft Office applications. When teaching the applications, introductory material can be very abstract without the addition of meaningful hands-on activities. The entrepreneurship project inspired by your donation made it so much more relevant. PowerPoint was used to present their business proposal. Word was used to create their corporate identity and design their marketing materials. Excel was used to create their budget sheets, production cost sheets, and income statements. These students used the skills they learned earlier to create, market, and manage their businesses as well as make sound financial decisions.
The real excitement was when I brought your donations into the classroom for the unboxing and the students realized they would actually be applying their skills and running their businesses--even if it was just for one day! You could just feel their excitement and see their total engagement. This was a great culminating project to our year. Your donation made the difference to its success.”
