Students will be able to think OUTSIDE the box, maintaining organization inside their box.
Centers for individual students is a safe, meaningful way to engage students in learning. Students will use the supplies to reinforce classroom instruction, practice independently and apply their learning to other domains. Student will be able to access and keep leveled books nicely organized in the totes while being to work on their literacy, art, science and math centers from within their own bin. Their supplies will remain organized, and free from other student contact.
The Learning Centers that will be contained in these bins will encompass learning from nearly every subject and domain. From fluency readings, to creative artwork to developing sensory and small motor skills, student will work on improving themselves every day. Some of the many standards that will be reinforced, developed and practiced will include:
Reading Fluency RF.1.3
(Know and apply grade-level phonics and word analysis skills in decoding words.)
RF.1.3 (Recognize and read grade-appropriate irregularly spelled words.)
RF.1.4 (Read with sufficient accuracy and fluency to support comprehension.)
RF.1.4b (Read on-level text orally with accuracy, appropriate rate, and expression on successive readings.)
SCIENCE: K-2-ETS1-2
(Develop a simple sketch, drawing, or physical model to illustrate how the shape of an object helps it function as needed to solve a given problem.)
Math: 1.OA.A (Represent and solve problems involving addition and subtraction.)
By donating to our project, you will not only help improve the organization
of each student but it will increase student engagement, attention and focus to be able to participate in Learning Centers with the safety of having individual supplies. Ultimately, you will help to increase their academic achievement in reading, math, science and creativity.
