The COVID-19 pandemic brought to light the lack of professional development that many teachers at my school lacked. Through these resources, I will be able to better plan lessons that adhere to NVACS as well as the International Baccalaureate framework that my school follows. I will also be able to provide professional development to my colleagues in the form of a fishbowl classroom, where I can model live lessons with students that showcase best practices and protocols to teach the NVACS and align with NEPF. For example, I can use materials such as the laminator to create handouts that promote discourse and collaboration among students and can be reused to minimize paper waste. I will also use the easel paper to create synectics activities to help students understand new material by connecting it to prior knowledge.
