In teaching students with autism, I like to give them a variety of different medias to excel and broaden their horizons. They thrive from hands on activities that include fine motor, sensory, and social emotional projects. When given the tools, the students are able to grow and express their wants and needs, when otherwise unable to do so. I like to give the students a safe, calm and creative classroom to enter and feel comfortable everyday. In this setting, it allows them be themselves without worry about judgment, which is what all students deserve.
