Fuel for Focusing!
Funded Dec 20, 2021The students are so thankful for the snacks. I believe that my third period Wildlife, Fishing, and ecology management class benefits the most from the materials. Lunch for the students in this specific class starts at 12:25, which is sort of late to us. The snacks not only help the students remain full, they are able to better focus on the work that is due in class. When the students are not focused on how hungry they are, they are more active and more attentive. When they first saw we were given a donation, their eyes lit up! They began saying how they wanted to be the first to complete work correctly to receive a snack! Our next unit is learning about fishing, so we will be outside a lot! Keeping them full while being active will help them remain focused.”

Funded Oct 22, 2021The students and I have really enjoyed the items you all have purchased. There have been numerous times where the students have asked "what are we learning today" so they can be the first to answer questions correctly and get the highest grades on classwork so they can get snacks. All of my classes really appreciated having the little bottles of water to drink once back in the classroom from learning outside. I really appreciate having the Clorox wipes to sanitize desks, chairs, and shared materials.
When my students first seen the boxes, they were curious! They wanted to know where did they come from, who sent them, and why! I purposely left the items in the boxes for a day to get the students wondering. When I opened the boxes, their faces lit up with excitement! They were eager to put the items in the cabinets and figure out what can they do to eat them!
We are about to start unit 5 in all of my classes. In my wildlife classes, we are starting Hunters Education. In my range classes, we are starting to learn about abiotic and biotic factors. In my forestry classes, we are starting to learn about biometric skills. Everything provided by the wonderful donors will be greatly appreciated since we will be outside more and doing more hands on activities.”
