The music cart for mental health that I plan to create for my special education resource room will promote many of the Nevada Academic Content Standards for music and the fine arts for all primary grades. Beginning with Kindergarten and moving through 5th grade, my students will create new artistic ideas and complete work (MU:Cr1), perform their work through interpretation and presentation (MU:PR6), understand how the arts convey meaning and expression (MU:Re9), and connect artistic ideas with personal meaning between music and their personal life especially during distance learning (MU:Cn11)
