Nevada Academic Content Standards are all geared at application of science to the real world. By reading these books in my anatomy and biology classes students are able to see what they are learning applied in a real scenario. The books also look at ethics in science, which is also an important aspect. Students have not been able to read a lot of related material when they were virtual and having the books for the students to read will give them this unique opportunity. Reading in essential for students and to give students a chance to read science content in a real world context allows them to better understand how science will impact their lives.
