Spanish Book Club meets every couple of weeks during the school day. It is a nice break that also provides academic rigor. I started this club so that my Spanish speakers could have a space to use their Spanish in authentic ways in an academic context. Since then, it has grown to include students who are learning Spanish. Research shows that literacy skills transfer between languages. The students chose the books for this year: one fiction and one nonfiction. Our club has grown a lot, so we need help providing books for everyone.
