After a full year of distance education, students need to interact with each other and engage in social emotional learning, as well as academics. Board games give students the ability to interact with each other, without the use of computer screens, so they are able to learn the social skills necessary to interact in the outside world. Games also give students the opportunity to decompress after long extended tests such as the PSATs.
In addition, Key Club is eager to contribute to creating and maintaining unity and community within our school walls. They are looking forward to projects such as class or organization buttons that display pride in their school, class, or club and that uplift our students, staff, and community. Fundraising through button sales will enable Key Club to purchase further items for Service Projects, such as ingredients to bake cookies at Ronald McDonald House and create back-to-school kits to welcome incoming Freshman every year. Painting and printing supplies will allow them to create posters and banners for events such as our community Blood Drive, the Week of Respect, and Kindness Week.
