I would like to incorporate a more literacy-based approach to my speech-language therapy sessions! I believe the impact from COVID-19 school closures has decreased my student's ability to access language in literature. These books will help my students close their educational gaps. To enhance literacy, I would like a color printer to make materials and activities that incorporate the language from the books. These books and materials can even be used for my students still receiving distance education! (RL.1.2), (RI.K.10), (RF.K.1) I would love to have a room full of books and sensory materials to help facilitate communication in my students! I want to have a therapy space that gives my sensory-seeking students the ability to access materials that allow them to explore. These materials will be incorporated into their therapy sessions to help work toward their IEP goals. Organizational products will also be used for quick access to materials while in therapy sessions. (L.K.1b), (L.K.1d)
