I am so beyond grateful to know that such wonderful people gave their time and resources to help supply my classroom library that my kids will love reading. I can't thank each of you enough for your kindness and generosity. Having a diverse library will make such a difference for my students. I can not wait to see their faces when the books arrive, but more importantly I can not wait to see them enjoying their reading. Watching students overcome reading challenges and eventually learn to like or even love reading is one of the greatest joys of my job. Thank you again for helping to give my students diverse books that they can see themselves represented in and can relate to!”

This classroom project was brought to life by The DonorsChoose Community and 2 other donors.

With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to enjoy reading independently at their own grade level. They will also be able to choose from books that are relevant to them and that interest them. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. My students already have shown an astounding interest in independent reading when provided the opportunity to read a title of their choosing, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word.
