  • Let's Celebrate Dad!

    Funded Sep 2, 2023

Thank you so much for donating to my project. The students will be so delighted to know they will have these materials available for use. The paints and markers will not only be used to create special items for their loved ones, but will be used for Holiday crafts as well. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Leatham

  • Building Kindergarten Literacy Centers and Math Centers

    Funded Feb 9, 2022

I would like to say thank you for donating to my project "Building Kindergarten Literacy Centers and Math Centers." The students were so excited when they received the games and activities, and wanted to use the materials immediately.

The literacy games really helped my students who struggled with letter awareness and I was able to see improvements with fluency in letter recognition over time. Working in small groups also helped the students improve their listening, cooperation and social skills.

The math activities helped the children who had difficulty counting and recognizing numbers 1-20. The ten frame magnetic sets helped make teaching patterns and base 10 counting easier, because it was hands on and the students were more engaged as they used the materials. Thanks again for helping my students make improvements in their math and reading skills.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Leatham

  • June Celebrations!

    Funded May 6, 2022

We are getting closer to the end of the school year, and thanks to you I get to make my students last days in Kindergarten fun and exciting. Thank you for your generous donations to my class and helping to put bigger smiles on their faces. Your donations are greatly appreciated!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Leatham

The materials and supplies that I am requesting will be used to help struggling readers and also help students who are at grade level continue to make gains in their literacy skills. The students will be able to work on letter identification, sight words and sentence building. In kindergarten we are already noticing the gap in reading levels and these items will help develop their literacy skills. Most of the materials are tactile and add an element of fun to their learning. The materials can be used independently and also with teacher guidance. The Math tools will be helpful for students who are having difficulties identifying , writing and comparing numbers.
