Joy Journals are used daily for students to write positive quotes, experiences, friendships and ideas in. They help to set an example for daily journaling. These journals becomes a tool that my students use and keep as they enter middle school and can make a daily habit to journal about what is good in each day, life and thankful thoughts. These journals have been kept by my students through college and have been said to help them when they are feeling discouraged or need a reminder of things good. Joy journals are great way to start our day and set the tone for the rest of the learning that will take place.
