While teaching in a low-income area, it is my desire to help students find a passion for reading. I strive to engage students through literature that they may never have a chance to read. These selections of books will give my students to ability to read literature at school and home. A selection of novels will allow students to read and comprehend literature at grade level. We are coming off of a year of at-home learning and have some gaps to fill. The materials listed will help support the students in the following ELA standards: 6.RL.10, CCRA.R.10, 7.RL.10.
