The novel set will be used to engage students with standards RL5.1-3. Students will learn about theme, summary, and quoting evidence through a whole group novel which will help all students succeed. The picture books will be used to help teach standards and social skills throughout the school year. While we are in Covid recovery, the stools and fidget sets will help my students with the need to move while maintaining engagement in the classroom. The flexible seating will allow students the ability to move while maintaining academic focus. These materials and supplies, though small in nature, will make a world of difference in the classroom experience for my students. Addressing social/emotional needs is key to the literacy growth of these young minds.
