Math manipulatives support students' understandings of challenging academic content such as multiplication, division, and fractions. Students who have access to physical manipulatives demonstrate stronger conceptual mastery of math standards. My students have had limited access to math manipulatives and games over the past 1.5 years of remote learning. Math manipulatives and games will engage all students in math and close gaps created during remote learning. When students have the opportunity to engage with mathematical concepts in hands-on, engaging ways, even reluctant mathematicians make growth and learn to enjoy the process. Students will keep select materials, such as flashcards, at home for additional practice. This will support the connection between learning at school and at home and will also involve students' families in the learning process.
