My Spanish Literacy students are very talented and so very proud of their roots. They want to be creative and express themselves, but need supplies to do so. COVID has caused financial limitations for students and instructors, in need of simple supplies. Notebooks for journaling and interactive activities become works of literary art, and colored pencils provide finishing touches for heritage projects. Requested supplies will be greatly appreciated. Notebooks, paper, folders and writing supplies become treasures for Spanish Literacy students. Standards include the following: Describe the history of their families including roots, traditions, customs, etc. 4.1.2 Describe personal childhood experiences 4.1.3 Presentational Communication: Writing5.1.1 Write a personal narrative about past events 5.1.3 Analyze the traditions and evolution of growing up 6.1.1 Compare/contrast childhood experiences from different countries/cultures 6.1.2 Examine the social and cultural nuances of growing up Hispanic 6.1.3 Compare and contrast the cultures of the Spanish-speaking world with their other culture 7.0.5
