The Covid pandemic has put a number of challenges on my students and myself, and the items I have requested will fulfill so many needs in my classroom and in the lives of my students. Our Chromebooks are and have been a very essential part of learning during the pandemic. The charging carts will allow me to organize the students' Chromebooks and charge them all together. This will allow them to be ready to use at any given time and having a specific location for them will teach the students some independence. The students will be responsible for getting their Chromebooks for assignments and putting them back when they are finished. This frees me up to work with students instead of handing out and putting back Chromebooks several times a day. The students use their Chromebooks for reading, math, and writing and will be proficient in their use should we ever get quarantined and have to work from home. (several ELA, Math, and writing standards are affected) The remaining items will help with the day to day running of the class, reading groups, and a planting project in the fall. The face coverings and Dixie cups will be available to students that forget or lose their masks or water bottles - our fountains are not in use. The 9 oz plastic cups will be used to plant small plants in for our plant unit in the spring. The plastic files are used to protect the reading group books that go home each night, and the set of Minnie and Moo books will used in guided reading groups. I would appreciate you funding my project to take some of the burden off of teaching during the pandemic. Thank you so much for considering my
