STEM Table
Funded Dec 6, 2022My students are excelling being able to use hands on activities to promote their growth in STEM. The table and projects have been invaluable in teaching them about engineering. We use the table as well to compare lengths and the magnetic levers and boards to create simple machines. This has stimulated parts of their brains that they do not always get to use. I appreciate all of the community support and love that our children are shown. They know it was the community that helped in their classroom!
Thank you for all of your support.”

Love of Literacy
Funded Jan 23, 2023This project impacted my scholars lives to a huge degree. They loved the books and were so excited that they got to check out books from their "library" that they were interested in. We talked about the support from the community and that helped with the impact. They had no idea that there were people out there who were vested in them and also wanted them to succeed. I think this emphasis helped in that they realized that people believed in them as well.
Thank you for your willingness to help my scholars get "seen."”

Ms. Peterson
Calming Corner
Funded Sep 29, 2022My students have been using the sensory tools since they arrived and it has made such a big impact on our classroom. The chairs have made such a difference in our small group settings. The scholars look forward to the pull out sessions and feel appreciated and special. I even explained where the items came from and it is truly a community that supports them and their education. The chairs and the calming corner is a safe space they have to go and express their emotions. I am so grateful for your support. We could not do this without you!”

The chairs give them the chance to fidget and wiggle and move while they do their work. I am so grateful for your support. We could not do this without you!”

Funded Oct 21, 2021Thank you so much for the donation. My kids were able to explore literacy through a fuller lens. We designed a project that used media, art, reading, and collaboration to expand the meaning of their book. This picture is a collage of the way the kids were effected. They made their own monsters! They were so excited when they first saw the materials. We are going to continue that journey with our next novel study. We are going to read the next novel and really dive into a character's motivations, and how that changes throughout the novel. This is a deeper dive into characters, so they can understand it's not just about how a character looks, nor how they feel at the beginning of a story. This changes with circumstances.
Thank you,
Michelle Peterson.”
