Foster Youth and Homeless Student Christmas Gifts

Thank you for being gracious enough to donate to our project. The purpose of my request was to be able to give our homeless and foster youth a special holiday gift. I requested earphones so that students could use them with their computers to do their work or listen to music as they worked. I also requested board games so that they could play a game with their family.

Students were able to choose their board game and each of them chose according to their interests. Some students thought of their younger siblings and chose a game with them in mind. When students saw their gifts they were shy and polite. They also expressed gratitude.

Since they are Special populations I was not able to take any pictures of their faces. I was still able to take some photos of them picking out their board game and earphones.

The purpose of my holiday gift was to bring joy to foster youth and homeless students at Griffith STEAM Magnet School. Thank you for bringing smiles and joy to their lives through your generous gifts.”
