As a first-year teacher, I am trying to create a classroom full of wonderful resources to help engage and improve learning for my special education classroom. The more hands-on equipment we can use in the classroom, the more each student will be able to work on areas of need to help make them into strengths. These resources will help make my classroom become an area where learning and imagination can grow! The guided reading sets and informational text read-alongs will help my students increase their reading skills and work on comprehension. Adding manipulatives to the classroom will allow the students hands on objects to help them display and work out any problems they are trying to solve. Having math and reading games puts a fun spin on learning and will help create a happy and excited environment to learn. Having other building materials will give a time when they can grown their imagination.
