We are off to a great start in the Clay Studio. But! We lacki one crucial piece of equipment - storage shelves! Our students are making amazing hand-built clay projects but we do not have enough sturdy storage space to keep their projects protected while they dry. We need to minimize the chances of students' projects getting damaged by obtaining 2 new sturdy storage shelves. Two new drying shelves will be tremendous in helping our students feel more invested in their creative process. Currently we have one drying rack to house 4 classes' worth of projects. That's over 100 students needing to store multiple projects over a year-long course! With ample storage they may better understand the scientific aspect of how clay starts as a wet material then transitions into properly-dried objects prior to being fired in the kiln. Our curious and creative students are learning the entire process of clay handbuilding from start to finish, so we want to give them the best opportunity to thoroughly experience this at every step!
