3-5-ETS1-1. Define a simple design problem reflecting a need or a want that includes specified criteria for success and constraints on materials, time, or cost. Th use of 3D printers will encourage my students pursue the Science and Engineering practices in the next generation Science Standards. Many students can come up with great solutions to problems, but the ability to create with a 3D printer will further their curiosity in STEM. Teaching students to problem solve with something that becomes tangible will have a lasting effect on them. Following the Engineering design principles will help them be in inspired to one day become engineers and scientists.
