Social Emotional Learning for Life
Funded Oct 31, 2022Thank you very much for all of the generous donations! When meeting with students during a session you can't always anticipate what will happen next! Having a color printer in my office has benefitted my students by being able to print attractive documents as needed and at a moment's notice.
Each additional item has all been beneficial to my students. The DBT workbook has provided me with age-appropriate activities that enhance their current knowledge of communication. I have utilized the book, "My Body Sends a Signal" countless times. It has been a great conversation starter for the young children that I work with. And the students love the Orbeez. They are used by the students both as a calming strategy and a distraction from some difficult emotions that they may be struggling with. The students are grateful for the variety of resources that are available for them in my office.
Again, thank you very much for your generosity.”

Calm Down Space
Funded Mar 5, 2022Thank you to all who have contributed to building a "Calm down space". Students have visited me in my office and have utilized the items that were purchased through this project. The items have helped to distract the students, which then enabled them to be able to share their thoughts and feelings with me. Together we have read books which were used as a tool to jumpstart discussions.
Students of all ages have benefited from the calm down space. The students look forward to utilizing the puzzles, games and books.
Again, thank you very much for all that you have done.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Valhalla Foundation and 4 other donors.Social Emotional
Funded Oct 15, 2021Thank you to all of you that donated the "Social Emotional" project. The students that I have worked with have all benefited from the social emotional games that we are not able to utilize because of your generosity. The games make it easier for many of the children to communicate their feelings, learn, and practice coping skills to help manage their emotions.
They look forward to meeting with me as opposed to being fearful. The students seek me out and request to come meet with me. My experience in this new position has been made easier because of you.
Thank you very much.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Poznak
