Every one of my students has a different disability ranging from deaf, hard of hearing, autism to genetic disorders. They are amazing young adults desiring their independence and wanting to learn how to work. We are hoping with the gift of the washer and dryer that we can equip our students to learn important adult life skills. We Want to Succeed in Life! These basic need laundry items will promote the NAC 1.1.4 Demonstrate positive self-representation skills by dressing appropriately and using language and manners suitable for the workplace; Dressing appropriately (i.e., adhering to professional rather than personal standards, following dress code). Maintaining personal hygiene.
