  • Hands-on Play Based Learning

    Funded Nov 11, 2023

My students were so excited to get all of our new items. We use these items during our playtime where the students are learning about sharing, using their words and being imaginative. It is so fun to watch them play with these items.

When I first brought all the new items into the classroom my class was so excited! They could not wait to play with everything. It has been fun to watch them play store with their new cash register, or pretend to cook for each other. They best part is, they are learning how to share and communicate with each other.

We will continue to enjoy all of our new items and work on social skills as the year progresses. Thank you so much for your donation to our classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Moon

  • Reading is Important

    Funded Oct 13, 2021

My students were so excited when all of our new books showed up to our classroom. Having interesting low level readers is hard to come by. They were so excited to read their new books. Each week they would look forward to the new book they would be receiving.

Before receiving these books I had some very reluctant readers. Having these books made them excited to read. The books are new and have characters that are more relatable to them in 2022. The books I was using before were old and the students couldn't relate to the characters.

Thank you so much for making my students excited to read! Without your help they would not have these new fun books to read”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Moon

I will be using these resources to help my third grade students catch up to grade level. My students have not had a normal year in a year and a half due to Covid. A large majority of my class is below grade level in reading. I am in need of books at their reading levels to help them become more proficient readers so they can master the grade-level standards. Many of my first and second-grade-level readers have to read books that look like they are baby books. I would love to be able to get them books that look more like the books of their grade-level peers.
