Thank you for your generous donation! The materials we received have been extremely useful in our class.

The flexible searing has made a big impact in our class environment! It makes the classroom feel more comfortable and relaxing. Students enjoy sitting on bean bag chairs, and getting to try new seating options.”

  • Let’s Get Organized!

    Funded Sep 18, 2024

I wanted to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for the generous donations we received. The items have significantly enhanced our daily learning and routines. Many of the donations consisted of organizational materials, such as dividers, pencil pouches, and caddies, which have proven invaluable in helping my students maintain organization.

With the dividers, students have been able to sort their binders by subject, while the pencil pouches provide a designated space for their writing utensils. The caddies have also been instrumental in managing shared classroom materials, streamlining our workflow.

The excitement among the students when they first saw the donations was evident! They thoroughly enjoyed organizing their binders, selecting their mechanical pencils and highlighters, and choosing the colors of their pencil pouches.

Moving forward, we will continue to utilize these organizational materials to foster an environment that supports smooth learning and readiness. Thank you once again for your generosity and support in enhancing our classroom experience.”

    With gratitude,

  • Stem Kits for Little Explorers

    Funded Apr 18, 2024

The STEM kits donated to our class have been a great addition to our center rotations. Students got to engage with the kits during centers time for about 15 minutes and then switch to a different kit.

Students were so excited to see the new additions to our class. They couldn't wait to try every one of the STEM kits. They especially liked the magnet kit and the magnet tiles. They enjoyed using a magnetic kit wand to move chips and metals around. They also loved building tall towers with the magnet tiles. We are so grateful for your generous donation!”

  • Building Character with Books

    Funded Jan 11, 2022

These books have been a wonderful addition to our class. My students loved the mindfulness and building character books! They have been of great use because they go hand in hand with our social emotional learning lessons. One book we use daily is, "Breath Like a Bear." This book teaches 30 mindful moments to help you keep calm and focused. Students look forward to learning a new mindful moment weekly. Additionally, whenever students are feeing upset or down, I have them grab the book and pick their favorite mindful moment to practice and keep calm.

Reading in my classroom is usually whole group or in centers. Every day we have carpet time where I read to students. I have been integrating the books we received as a fun read incentive. Students enjoy the character building books because they are able connect it to themselves. One of our centers is reading/exploring books. Students have enjoyed looking through all the new books and reviewing shapes, colors and the alphabet.

One of my students has really enjoyed our mindfulness books. She loves, "Breath Like a Bear," and, "My Magic Breath." She was even able to borrow these books from our local library.

We are extremely grateful for these amazing books!”

    With gratitude,

Learning through reading and viewing visuals will help engage students and make an impact in their learning. These materials will be used in the classroom during our social emotional learning time. We will focus on a skill, read a book together and discuss our ideas and feelings. Developing social emotional learning is crucial especially in Kindergarten, since children are learning how to interact with each other and make good choices.
