The donation of the bandsaw has had an exciting impact on my robotics engineering students. We've been using it to enhance our hands-on projects, particularly in designing and building components for our VEX Robotics competition robots. A specific project we recently completed involved creating custom mounting plates and robot chassis parts, which required precision cutting that the bandsaw made possible. This has not only elevated the quality of our builds but also taught students important skills in working with machinery and materials.

When the students first saw the bandsaw, they were thrilled! Many had never expected such a tool to be in our Robotics lab. After a safety demonstration, they couldn't wait to put it to use on their projects. It brought a new level of excitement and engagement into the classroom.

Looking ahead, our next step is to use the bandsaw to create more intricate designs for our VEX robot prototypes as we prepare for upcoming competitions. The students are planning to incorporate custom parts that require fine detailing, and having this tool gives us the flexibility to experiment with designs that weren't possible before.”
