The use for these materials is to help foster a positive learning environment when we are working on our numbers and our phonics skills. The math counters are for when we need a different way of counting numbers, for example using them in a word problem in my small groups would help the students be engaged and focused when they are counting something that is related to the problem. The phonics and phonemic awareness materials are for my student who need that extra practice in our language arts blocks and writing blocks, this is for when they need help with their sounds and letter names. These will help the students get them to where they need to be in our learning. The floor cushions are for students who need another way of sitting, whether it be in their centers or on their chair. If I see a specific student or students need that differentiated way of sitting then they can transition onto a cushion. This will help them to sit quietly and work quietly. These cushions will be for students who need that different way to sit and learn. Some students need different seats, fidgets, or need a sensory manipulatives while they learn. I think these cushions would be a great way to sit and focus on their learning. The clipboards are for the students when they are at their centers or working around the room. I feel that students can be moving as they are learning and the clipboards will help them be able to write their notes, numbers, equations, etc. while learning.
