My students and I begin each class with independent reading time. Students are able to pick a book from our class library, unwind in our cozy reading nook, and read for approximately 15 minutes. These precious moments help to encourage students to develop a life long love for learning. This is their time to put a pause on the world, set aside any anxiety or worry, and fall in love with a good book. All concerns are at a standstill during this time, which allows students to relax and enjoy their reading.
