Thank you so much for providing our students with new books to read! They were super excited to receive them! My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive when they are reading.
I have seen how having a vast choice in books to read can positively affect my students work and demeanor. All the additional title options have helped students grow even more!
Students are required to select books that are on or above their reading level; therefore it is critical to have choices for the children to select from.”

This classroom project was brought to life by The Montgomery Family Fund and 3 other donors.

I am requesting Scholastic books to read everyday which will help to create educational equity by giving all students access to reading materials both at home and at school. All students deserve to have access to books, regardless of their financial ability to purchase them. These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy. I love to read on the carpet to them, and they love to read independently! Every student book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunities to read. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind. I have watched them over the past few weeks of school read titles just like these, and I have also asked them what type of books they would enjoy reading. Students will be able to choose books, which will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time. I am a firm believer that if a child loves to read, they will become lifelong learners.
