My students haven't had consistent use of calculators through the school years. As we progress towards advanced mathematics, my students are required to know many features including how to find Sine, Cosine, and Tangent of angles in calculator as well as finding distance between points which is a derivative of Pythagoras theorem. Since being provided with identical calculators for each student to use, my students are confident with plugging in advanced calculations. I've seen the improvements in scores and time efficiency within test calculations only get better”

This classroom project was brought to life by Perry and Donna Golkin Family Foundation and 2 other donors.

Students will be able to big calculations, longer problems in shorter amount of time, and check answers with confidence. Our building and many of our supplies are nearing 40 years old and are showing their age. My students desire working on bigger projects but struggle either time time constraint if working through calculations in the class time. Our current supplies are shared and with Covid cleaning, many have been damaged and need replaced. I want my students to be confident using a calculator to find the decimal value for non perfect square roots and cubic roots.
