SEL and ART
Funded Nov 5, 2023Thank you so much for providing the time and commitment to supporting all teachers who chose to pursue the donors chose option to help support the students of CCSD. I personally appreciated this opportunity to get more supplies for my students.
I am at one of the largest schools in the district and any funds that I can aquire to support our students in their art education is welcomed and of importance. These funds from Donors Choose and our state of Nevada Department of Education, allowed me to purchase many items that we will use throughout the years at our school in art. I specifically bought items in regards to SEL and Art that I new could be used for a long time.
The students use these items daily and future art educators will have access to them when I retire from my position in the future. Again, it can not be understated the appreciation for this opportunity. I am very grateful and humbled to add to my classroom and give students the chance to experience new items that otherwise I would not of had the funds to purchase.”

Funded Oct 11, 2021Thank you for the donation of art stations and clay. We have acquired the art studio chairs and three metal art easels. Students love going to the work station or "studio" if they finish an art project early. This provides student choice and also a calm place to work individually on a work of art. The following pictures demonstrate students working on large works of art on the art easels. The donation also included clay for the students to build sculptures and practice ceramics. We will be utilizing those materials at a later date.
I feel very grateful for the donation given to teachers in Nevada to encoperate lessons, or materials that also connect to SEL. I know the students will benefit from these materials for years to come, and will be a great addition to the room for any art teacher in the future at our school.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Malecki
