  • Engaged Learning

    Funded Nov 5, 2023

My students have loved the squishy toys that are now apart of the treasure chest for rewards. They try really hard to be on their best behavior so they can earn treasure box and other incentive coupons.

They can't wait to do a glow day reading activity as well with the black lights and all the fun glow day materials.

We are also hoping to do a breakout activity for a review for SBAC practice. The locks will be great for that! Thank you so much for everything!!! The chairs ended up being a little small, but they can be used for other things too!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Caringal

  • Helping Small Hands with Big Hearts Achieve their Goals!

    Funded Oct 4, 2021

My students were so excited when they saw the packages and all of the new things for them to be able to use to learn! The flexible seating at my small group reading table has been amazing! Students are excited to come to small and intervention groups for reading and math! They also love the manipulatives which give them the much needed hands-on learning! I've already used them many times and I can see how the children's understanding is growing.

The cubby cabinet and drawer organizer have been most helpful with keeping the classroom organized. As well as the light filters have created a calming atmosphere which is so beneficial for my students with special needs. In addition, the privacy folders have been very helpful to my students when they are taking tests or when they just need to be able to focus better without distractions.

All of my students really enjoy the kerplunk set and incentives! They are being used on a daily basis and are greatly helping out with keeping my students on track with their behavior and enthusiasm for learning.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Caringal

These resources promote Nevada Academic Content Standards and fulfill a COVID-related learning need in my class by giving my students hands on manipulatives and games for the Mathematics standard 3.OA.A.3. Manipulatives were severely lacking during distance learning and they greatly aide in helping students understand math concepts. The flexible seating provide students with different seating options that I can use for my small groups while teaching ELA standards RI 3.1 RI 3.3, RL 3.1 and RL 3.3. In addition, I have a few students with special needs that will greatly benefit from the ability to "get their wiggles out" while still being seated and engaged in the lesson. For social/emotional well being the light covers, and organizational furniture help create a sense of calm and routine structure that is so desperately needed at this time. This fulfils the learning need in the subject of Health 3 1.1. Lastly, to reward hard work and effort in achieving student goals, these resources provide incentives as well.
