These materials will allow students to engage with historical materials in a hands-on learning environment that will focus on discussion and creating relevant connections to their world today. Students can analyze primary sources by being capable of making notations on the document that can be changed, rearranged, and analyzed to inspire them and bring history to life. This is how the coverings for dry erase would be used as well as the highlighters. This helps bring attention to areas that are important to them within the documents. Many students have backgrounds that require them to work with materials in different, accommodating ways that they feel comfortable and included in the historical content which they are analyzing and engaging with. This shows in having growth mindset visuals around the room that they could relate to as well as the headphones. Many students need the ability to cancel noise or have the documents read to them which the computers accomplish but the headphones allow in a more accessible way. The whiteboards allow students to make notations, compete in review games, and become engaged through activities as individuals or as groups. Having the ability to meet all their needs is not just necessary but detrimental to their connection with historical content.
