The Chromebooks will be used in the classroom to reinforce learning. When using the Chromebooks, students will be able to access educational websites that are hugely beneficial in reinforcing second grade content and concepts. My students enjoy their Chromebook time and are able to learn through different resources, learn different strategies, review and practice content, improve their reading and math skills, and so much more! Having access to technology is also helpful for students who do not have technology at home. They are able to learn how to use technology while at school. COVID had deeply impacted our students. We had Chromebooks returned from distanced learning that were damaged or irreparable. The books are to help build my classroom library. In addition to technology, I like to have a variety of books for my students to access at any time. I also like to have books that match curriculum and holidays. By the end of the year, read and comprehend literature, including stories and poetry, in the grades 2–3 text complexity band proficiently, with scaffolding as needed at the high end of the range. By the end of year, read and comprehend informational texts, including history/social studies, science, and technical texts, in the grades 2–3 text complexity band proficiently, with scaffolding as needed at the high end of the range.
