The resources requested will help my students with our current COVID response by limiting the sharing of resources. Currently, students either do not have headphones to use or they have to share my limited supply of headphones, most of which have broken pieces and must be sanitized after each use. Also, having students with their own mouse for the chromebooks, will help them to navigate the different websites, activities and other resources we use digitally. I have also found that students perform better on the chromebooks using a mouse because the pad on the computer is hard to navigate, especially when they have to click and drag. Throughout the day and the previous years, I have found little ways of reducing exposure to students with limiting the sharing of resources and also ways to help students navigate using their chromebooks. These small things could help my students to stay healthy and safe, as well as decrease the stress of things they cannot control (i.e. no headphones, broken headphones, mouse pad on chromebook).
