I am a special education preschool teacher. About half of the students in my class have disabilities. Some of the students have challenging behaviors. I do bucket filling in my classroom. My students earn pom poms when they follow the rules in my classroom. The students then put the pom-poms in the bucket. Once the bucket is full all the students get a reward from my prize box. I will use these materials as rewards in my classroom. My use of bucket filling has impacted the students learning by increasing their positive behaviors. My students are more attentive and ready to learn because I am constantly reinforcing this behavior and other positive behaviors in my classroom.
