Due to the COVID Pandemic, all of my students need an academic boost. Thus, reading together, allows our classroom motto to be at the forefront of my Wonder's WICOR learning - Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, Reading. This project covers all of the 3rd Grade ELA NVACS of the Quick Reference Guide. Cooperation, discussion, and teamwork is what my class thrives on - building one another up leads to building one's self - academically, socially, and emotionally. Listening together, while reading together, then discussing together - allows for greater continuity and understanding of the academic content. I have access to many books whether in our classroom library or online that students can share together while listening together. Students have access to texts separately, but the listening centers allow for a togetherness that learning by self cannot give them. The opportunity of finally having the needed learning resources to have listening centers in my classroom opens up a world of possibilities for us. My mind is spinning with the myriad of ways I can utilize them.
